Sodium nitrate is a kind of inorganic salt, chemical formula NaNO3, white solid powder, also known as Chilean saltpeter or Peruvian saltpeter (less common). The largest sodium nitrate mine in the world is located in Chile's Atacama Desert. application

Sodium nitrate is the raw material for the manufacture of potassium nitrate, mine explosive, picric acid, dye and so on. Nitrating agent for making dye intermediates. Glass industry used for the production of various glass and its products defoaming agent, decolorizing agent, clarifying agent and oxidation flux. The enamel industry is used as oxidant and flux in the preparation of enamel powder. Mechanical industry used as metal cleaning agent, also used to prepare black metal bluing agent. Metallurgical industry used as steel and aluminum alloy thermal treatment agent. Light industry is used as an accelerant in the manufacture of cigarettes. Used in the pharmaceutical industry as a medium for penicillin. Used as corrosion inhibitor and desensitization agent in toothpaste to prevent dentin allergy. Sodium nitrate is mainly used as corrosion inhibitor and boiler metal embrittlement inhibitor in the field of water treatment. In addition, there are many other areas of use. Leakage emergency treatment

Keep away from fire and heat sources, no smoking in the workplace, and keep away from inflammable and combustible materials. Avoid producing dust. Avoid contact with reducing agent, active metal powder, acid, handling should be lightly unloaded, to prevent packaging and container damage. Equipped with the corresponding variety and quantity of fire equipment and leakage emergency treatment equipment. An empty container may contain harmful residue.

Storage precautions; Store in a cool, ventilated warehouse. Keep away from tinder and heat source, the storage temperature shall not exceed 30℃, and the relative humidity shall not exceed 80%. It should be stored separately from reducing agent, active metal powder, acid and combustible materials, and avoid mixed storage. The storage area should be equipped with appropriate materials to absorb leakage.
