Flowers send blessings Zibo Qifan Thanksgiving Mother's Day

     In order to carry forward the traditional virtues of the Chinese nation, establish civilized family style, and create a festive atmosphere of respecting and appreciating mothers, Zibo Qifan organized and held a flower arrangement activity of "Sending Carnations to mothers in May" on May 13, 2023, to convey blessings with flowers. All employees participated in the activity.

    In the activity, we first learned about the recognition of flower materials, color matching and other related knowledge by group video. In a relaxed and happy atmosphere, we completed POTS of well-arranged and vibrant flower arrangement works.

Mother's Day originated in ancient Greece as a day for the gods to honor Hera, the mother of the gods. In the 17th century, Mother's Day spread to the United Kingdom, the British people on the fourth Sunday of Lent as Mother's Day, this day out of the young people would bring some gifts to their mothers.

Modern Mother's Day originated in the United States, Anna Marie Jarvis was the earliest initiator. Anna Marie Jarvis's mother served in the medical corps during the Civil War. After the war, she came up with the idea of a memorial day for mothers who lost their children in war.

The year after her mother's death, Anna wrote to Andrews Methodist Episcopal Church in Grafton, West Virginia, asking for a special memorial service for her mother, who had served the church's Sunday school for more than 20 years. In 1908, the church proclaimed the second Sunday in May, the anniversary of Anna's mother's death, as Mother's Day. Anna also formed a Mother's Day committee and began a mass campaign to make Mother's Day an official holiday. May 10, 1913, the United States Senate and the House of Representatives passed a resolution, signed by President Wilson announcement, decided that the second Sunday of May every year for Mother's Day.
